Day 7 Tramore, Waterford and Kilkenny

We decided to spend the day touring Tramore, Waterford and Kilkenny!

Drew and I woke up and went running down on the beach. It was another beautiful day. It stopped raining, we got lucky again. So good to get out and run in the fresh air.

Came back and enjoyed one of the best breakfasts - French Toast and pouched eggs with Hot Chocolate. They syrup is an English Syrup and is honestly the best we have ever tasted. After breakfast we all got ready for the day and took a walk down to the beach. It was a super cold day!!! Very windy but sunny skies. We enjoyed our walk. Drew didn't have any hot water so he caught up with us later.

We than got in the cars and drove down to Waterford. I was able to drive today. It was fun and weird driving on the left side, Dave gave me some good pointers. We all enjoyed our host's little puppy. So cute. We stopped at a gas station for some snacks - Salt and Vinegar Chips and Lemon Fanta and Orangina YUM. They also have some of the best Candy Bars "Double Decker and Lions"

Many of our ancestors lived in Cork and Waterford. We went to a birthing and death place just to see if we could get some information. They stopped keeping records after 1864? We found a super old cemetary and enjoyed walking through it. We didn't find any O'Dwyers, but we saw LOTS of POWERS (from my dad's side of the family). We enjoyed walking through the town of Waterford. We went through a couple for super cool Cathedrals. The guys were able to help moving some furniture. Shayna found a very stylish jacket and skirt. The owner and designer is being featured in Vogue, she is a top designer, got Shayna's measurements and is planning on custom designing her something. That was fun for Stace. We toured the famous Waterford Crystal - very expensive and beautiful crystal. The museums were closed so we decided to get in the cars and drive to Kilkenny.

I loved this sign I was missing Jaida, I called her Jade!!

We wanted to see the oldest most well preserved castle in Ireland. We got lost and the Irish people helped us again so nice and helpful. We just as we arrived they were closing. We were able to go in and see the grounds and decided it was worth coming back tomorrow to see the inside. We all needed to go to the restroom so we took a break and than walked through one of our favorite towns in Ireland. So clean and cute. Very European, cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, small streets and small connecting passageways. We saw a subway and had to stop for lunch. So good to eat subway, they don't have salt, pepper, vinegar or oil . . . their mayo and mustard is also different. It was still a good sandwich.

We drove back to the B&B, put our breakfast orders in and our hostess made a reservation for us at the Pine Restaurant.

We walked to the restaurant. Super cute and quaint. Looked like the inside of someone's home. The food was excellent. Two elderly Irish ladies served us. Drew and I split the Steak, Ceasar Salad and Pototoes and Brocoli and the Chocolate Mousse.

We went back to the B&B and enjoyed playing a game of Crazy 8.

We called the kids and Ashton was watching a dinosaur movie on Netflix and didn't want to come. So we talked to Jaida a bit.
